Sad News: Kelvin Kiptum, the Fast Marathon Runner, Passes Away
Kelvin Kiptum, the fastest marathon runner in the world, has passed away. He died in a car crash on Sunday, February 11, 2024. People all over the world are feeling very sad about this.
Kelvin Kiptum was a famous runner from Kenya. He made his country proud by running a marathon really fast in October 2023. His time was 2 hours, 35 seconds. This made him famous all around the world.
His dad, Samson Cheruiyot, is feeling very sad. Kelvin was his only son. He was talking to Kelvin just the day before he passed away. Kelvin told his dad that he was going to win more races and make them proud.
Kelvin's dad is asking the government to find out what happened to his son. He says some people came to their house looking for Kelvin before he died, but they wouldn't say who they were.
